It's All In Your Head

The great thing about being young--besides not being old-- is that you have so much to look forward to, so much to explore and so many ways to improve yourself. Eve 6 were in high school when they first showed up to be rockstars with their No. 1 modern rock track "Inside Out"
and while they still tackle the same young person themes you expect--girls, loneliness, girls--they do so with professional aplomb. Aplomb isn't exactly a "punk" attribute (it's synonymous with Steely Dan, after all), but these three southern California kids only look to channel punk-like energy into their amiable little pop songs where the pretty harmonies tell you far more than the crunchy guitar chords. They don't take this growing up stuff easily. "Good Lives" declares: "Promise that forever we will never get better at growing up and learning to lie." Guys, bad news: you might now "get better" at growing up, but you'll learn to lie. Trust me.
