Although Sgt. Pepper's gets all the accolades, this is in many ways a more enjoyable listen, especially since the American version (it was only an EP in Britain; thus, it's the only American Beatles LP currently available on CD) included recent hit singles like "All You Need Is Love," "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields." Add to this the songs from the British TV film (dreadful film, lovely music) beginning with the title track and concluding with John's surreal "I Am The Walrus," and you have another true pop gem.
