Machine

You know that feeling when your mom tells you to clean your room and you just don't want to. You planned to go out drinking behind the library and now instead you have to stay in and put your clothes away. Well, Static-X singer Wayne Static remembers that feeling, that infernal rage at being denied your right to party. He's since channeled that anger, that frustration, that defeat, and he's--to quote another band you'd quite enjoy if Static-X are your bag, the Doobie Brothers (check 'em out)--takin' it to the streets!
The band's debut album Wisconsin Death Trip made many people who wear heavy boots very, very happy. The head-crushing rhythms mesmerized like a top-quality video game where time escapes and before you know it you're late for dinner again. In highly technical terms, Machine is "more of the same." In other words, lots of energetic rhythms--even a spooky keyb-inspired tune ("Cold")--and screaming vocals that tell the world you're grounded for a month but not going to take it anymore.
