Just a hair below Innervisions, this is another brilliant album signifying the beginning of an amazing five-year stretch that saw Wonder release four consecutive ground-breaking albums. It's the greatest example of Wonder's trademarks--hard, timeless funk ("Superstition" and "Maybe Your Baby") social protest ("Big Brother") and sentimental balladry ("You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" and "You And I")--all done to perfection.
