Sometimes you have to read the fine print to learn about a record. Just as some people buy albums based on the label that issues them, some people buy them for the involvement of other silent players. In some cases the listing of a certain agent immediately warns you of the trouble waiting within. Our Lady Peace, who also switched guitar players this go-round, another potential bad sign, recorded their fifth album with Bob Rock.

As a record producer Bob Rock is known as the man you go to when you want your sound to be massive, when you want to make it on the radio, when you've given up on life itself. Motley Crue, Metallica, Veruca Salt, the list is long. One listen to the album's first single "Somewhere Out There" and you know the score. It's as if a machine made this music. Perhaps, a machine did. But we are not machines. Vote your conscience. Vote your dream. This Tuesday, vote "no" on Gravity. It's time to take a stand and stop the big rock machine one fan at a time.
