It's easy to see why Blind Melon was originally labeled "hippie rock"--the group's debut offers an upbeat, jammy, partly acoustic rock vibe. But there's more than meets the ear--jazzy touches are sprinkled throughout the record. And there's also the charming single, "No Rain," a simple tune that just plain makes you feel good to be alive.
