With Brandy taking just too damn long in the studio and Monica warbling Diane Warren love themes, it's high time for a new girl on the block. Thank goodness there's Robyn, the best thing to come out of Sweden since, well, the last best thing came out. On her smash "Do You Know (What It Takes)" the teenage soul kitten gives off more you-know-you-want-me-baby attitude than the law should allow. Face it, no white girl has sounded this pouty trying to sound black since the heyday of Madonna. Armed with a deliciously nasal delivery that belies years trying to sing like Whitney , a slew of unbearably catchy finger -poppin' pop. R&B tracks and an ability to moan "mmm, girl" like it was her God-given cultural imperative to do so, Robyn Is Here is a sparkling, sexy debut.
