As was the case throughout his brief, turbulent career, the latest offering from Tupac Shakur is creatively schizophrenic. On one hand Tupac boasts through a series of odes to Thug Life. Then with equal passion he delivers "I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto," one of several self-reflective songs on this 26-cut double-CD. Executive produced by his mother Afeni Shakur, RU Still Down?(Remember Me) was part of a settlement deal between Tupac's estate and Interscope Records. As an artistic statement it is, like much of Tupac's work,uneven. As a tribute, RU Still Down?(Remember Me) is a poignant reminder of what could have been.
