A pop masterpiece, although it should be noted that until Sgt. Pepper's, the American and British versions of their albums were significantly different. Many American fans have a difficult time hearing the British version (the only ones available on CD) of this LP not beginning with the terrific "I've Just Seen A Face" but "Drive My Car" (whichdidn't even appear on the U.S. version!), although the inclusion of "Nowhere Man" certainly makes up for it. Confusing! Yoko undoubtedly never let John live down the line he stole from Elvis for "Run For Your Life": "I'd rather see you dead, little girl..."
