Russell's best album by far, this features his masterful "A Song For You" and "Delta Lady"--though, one must point out, Joe Cocker recorded an even better version of the latter. Boosted by a superstar band who were thanked but not credited as playing on the album's back cover, Russell's eponymous debut is a genuine classic.
