Beatles For Sale

Just a damn good li'l rockin' 'n' rollin' album, featuring both covers and originals. The strange thing, however, is that the covers sound like they could be Beatles originals, while the originals sound like covers of classics from the first rock 'n' roll era. "Honey Don't" and "Rock 'N' Roll Music" sound far superior to the respective Carl Perkins and Chuck Berry originals, while Buddy Holly's "Words of Love" sounds like the epitome of the Beatles' Merseybeat sound. "I'll Follow The Sun" sounds like an unreleased Buddy Holly track, and just imagine what Phil Spector and his girl groups might've done with "Eight Days A Week."
