16 Most Requested Songs is a bit of a misnomer here -- although this midline-priced collection spotlights some of Johnny Mathis' best-known and most popular performances for Columbia Records, it overlooks such obvious items as "Chances Are." Still, the collection is an entertaining sampler, featuring such songs as "Call Me," "You Are Beautiful," "Let's Love," "Tonight," "My Funny Valentine," "Someone," "The Best of Everything," "Teacher, Teacher" and "Starbright." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
