The Experience Collection is a four-disc set released by MCA in 1993 that packages Jimi Hendrix's original three studio albums with The Ultimate Experience, a fourth disc that collects some of the best tracks from the studio efforts along with a handful of non-album tracks. The posthumously released "Angel" is the best of these, although a live recording of his infamous, improvised "Star Spangled Banner" runs a close second. This collection makes it convenient for those looking to become acquainted with Hendrix's catalog to find all three albums in one place (in digitally remastered form no less) and the extensive liner notes will also offer newcoming fans a quality introduction to Hendrix's life, career, and recordings. ~ Brian Egan, All Music Guide
