Misled Review

07/13/2005 4:59 AM, AMG

"Misled" was the third official single released from Celine Dion's Colour of My Love, and her first major dance hit (the song topped the U.S. dance charts). The maxi-single came equipped with six different versions, and could arguably be the singer's sassiest moment yet. The single opens with the definitive, muscular album version and is followed by the "Groove Edit" (a full length "Groove Mix" is track five), which is a soulful, more hip-hop-leaning take on the song. Tracks three and four are the "MK Radio Remix" and the "Richie Jones Club Mix," which are two smooth and sleek house remixes. The single closes with the deeper, housier "MK's History Mix." This single, long since out of print, is a rarity in the Dion repertoire -- she is soulful, sassy, exuberant, campy, and almost just plain nasty, and it works, resulting in a long-forgotten, and definitive highlight (and oddity) in the singer's illustrious career. ~ Jose Promis, All Music Guide
