Best Of Dean Martin Review

Issued by Capitol Records' discount label, this 12-track, 32-minute Dean Martin compilation contains most of Martin's hit singles of the 1950s, including "Memories Are Made of This," "That's Amoré," and "Return to Me." (The 1989 Capitol Collectors Series album is more complete; it is also more expensive.) Of course, that accounts for only about half of his best and most popular work, the other half having been released by Reprise Records in the 1960s. Consumer advisory: The version of "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You" heard on this disc is not the hit recording, which was done for Reprise in 1964. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
