When is less more? This CD single is from U2's 1995 contribution to the Batman Forever soundtrack. This single (from a great soundtrack to an offensively poor film) is light years better than its U.K. counterpart. The only track here is "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me," which was written and recorded during the Zooropa recording sessions. The U.K. version also contains "Themes From Batman Forever" and "Tell Me Now" by Mazzy Star. Bono had originally been approached to reprise his live character Macphisto for the movie. Wisely, he instead offered to contribute to the soundtrack. Instead of buying this single, buy the soundtrack, which includes great songs by the Devlins, Eddi Reader, and others. ~ JT Griffith, All Music Guide
