Star Profile Review
07/13/2005 6:22 AM, AMG
This 43-minute audio documentary describes how Radiohead became one of the more respected groups of the 1990s and analyzes why they are the antithesis of the successful "rock band." Star Profiles covers the range from the early days, when the band was called On a Friday, to the release of Ok Computer. The Radiohead Star Profiles disc will excite all new fans who want to dig deeper into the history of their new favorite band. One of the disc's strengths is the first-person accounts from members of the band who look back on how the band formed, among other seminal moments in Radiohead history. Star Profiles includes a full-color book and discography with many photos. As professional as this bio disc seems as first, there is one unacceptable moment of trash. About ten minutes into the story, the narrator stumbles over his tongue, swears, repeats himself, and then continues. Overall the quality is average, with the band discussions coming from poor quality radio broadcasts. This is a product that diehards will want and the company should have spent a bit more effort to make it a better quality work. The information is interesting, but the album is weak.
