Tell It Like It Is: The Best Of Review

Edsel's version of a trip through Huey P. Meaux's crazy Cajun yields a different bumper crop than Music Club's release, with no clear-cut winner. The version of "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" here is different from the take on Music Club's, though both comps share the same tracks of "Before the Next Teardrop Falls," "Cowboy Peyton Place," and "Vaya Con Dios." This one, however, ropes in 11 different sides than its reissue cousin. Final verdict: well worth picking up as companion to the Music Club set -- either one gets the basic job done right, yet both complement each other well. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
