At a time when her career had pretty much dried up British Invasion songstress Petula Clark went into the studio with the help of some very bland arrangements and musicians, made some very uninspiring remakes of her biggest hits. Her voice didn't sound bad but the context was all wrong and the results don't ever need to be heard by anyone who holds the original versions dear. Unfortunately many record labels with no sense of propriety were able to get a hold of these recordings and release them under the misleading titles like Original Hits, Best of Petula Clark or in this case, My Greatest. Make sure if you are going to buy a budget Petula Clarkcollection that it is not made up of these re-recordings. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
