Adele flips the suits the bird at last night’s BRIT Awards

Don't make her angry while she's rolling in the deep!

Last night, during the BRIT Awards, Adele was cut off during her acceptance speech for one of the evening's most coveted prizes, British Album of the Year and followed in the steps of M.I.A. at the Super Bowl by flashing her middle finger.

After the awards, Adele told reporters "I was about to thank the British public for their support and they cut me off, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone," she explained. "But the suits offended me, so thank you very much for all of your support."

Even the host, English actor James Corden, was unhappy about the incident, telling ITV2, "I was having the best night of my life and then I had to cut Adele off before she's even had chance to say thank you," said Corden. "She's the biggest star in the world. I don't understand what happened but I'm upset about it."

Adele was interrupted in favour of the evening's closing act, veteran rockers Blur. "Blur played for 11 minutes and she didn't get [a] chance to say thank you once," Corden also told the entertainment channel.

However, will her gesture cast a shadow on the whole awards ceremony? Probably not as she still won two awards and gave a wonderful performance over the course of the evening. In addition, there are different censorship rules in the U.K. compared to North America and we all already know that Adele enjoys cursing.

While recovering from surgery and unable to speak or curse, Adele relied on phone applications and note pads to communicate. As she told "60 Minutes," "The great thing is I love to swear. Most of 'em you can't swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear. So I'm still really getting my point across."

Do you think she was wrongfully interrupted?
