The "Someone Like You" hitmaker dethroned Coldplay, who previously ranked highest in 2008 and 2010, after 2,000 people were surveyed, according to the UK's Capital FM radio station.

1. Enya "Only Time"
This tune by the Irish chanteuse features her dreamy voice at a soothing pace and seems to do the trick when trying to unwind and drift off. "Only Time" was also featured in an episode of the TV series "Friends" called "The One Where Chandler Takes a Bath" in which the character of Chandler Bing, played by Canadian-American actor Matthew Perry, listens to it while relaxing in the tub.

2. Evanescence "My Immortal"
Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee's clear and crisp voice accompanied by the gentle piano on their hit "My Immortal" can be enough to bring peace to anyone after a stressful day. However, the original album version is preferred in this case to the rock version.

3. Eric Clapton "Wonderful Tonight"
The sexy and ultra recognizable guitar riff on Eric Clapton's 1977 tune "Wonderful Tonight" might make for some interesting dreams should one listen to it while relaxing before bed.

4. Spice Girls "Viva Forever"
Don't laugh, but listening to the Spice Girls harmonize on their tune "Viva Forever" is quite calming.

5. Coldplay "Fix You"
It's no wonder that Coldplay topped Travelodge's list of artists to fall asleep to in 2008 and 2010 when songs like "Fix You" feature gentle melodies and lead singer Chris Martin's delicate vocals.
