Drake’s dream acting job: to play Barack Obama

Will we be calling Drake "Mr. President" soon?

He started off his career as part of the ensemble cast on Degrassi: The Next Generation, but now the Canadian rapper has revealed that he wants to play President Obama in a movie.

Appearing at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week, the rapper/actor told VH1 news, "I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him." Adding, "That's the goal. I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don't change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I'm pretty good at impressions." And, he isn't just saying that. Drake really does have a knack for impressions (see his Lil Wayne voice.)

In addition to his role on Degrassi, who could forget his hilarious appearance on Saturday Night Live during the "A Brief Interview With Drake" comedy sketch?

Before he jumps into playing the 44th President of the United States, Drake (credited as his real name Aubrey Graham) can be heard as the voice of Ethan in the fourth "Ice Age" installment, "Ice Age: Continental Drift." The movie is being released on July 13th and will also feature the voices of fellow rapper, Nicki Minaj, Glee's Heather Morris and international superstar, Jennifer Lopez.
