What we expect from ‘Chavril’ at the 2013 Juno Awards

They aren’t scheduled to appear, but you can bet that if Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne show up at the 2013 Juno Awards this Sunday, there will be mass hysteria.

Since announcing their engagement in August 2012, “Chavril” (as they are affectionately known) has been a hot topic of conversation. We expect that this year’s Juno Awards will shine a spotlight the couple more than once during the evening.

Lavigne has been busy promoting her new single “Here’s To Never Growing Up” and chatting about wedding plans. She’s also revealed that she and Kroeger got matching tattoos in France, which we hope to see on the Juno red carpet.

"When I met him I was really surprised that he didn't have any tattoos, so the second day in the studio I'm like, 'I'm so getting you your first tattoo,'" the singer said on "Chelsea Lately." She then flashed the ink in question, which says, “Vivre le moment present." (“Live in the moment.”)

In addition to seeing their tattoos, here are five things that we anticipate (and, in some instances, secretly hope) will happen where Lavigne and Kroeger are concerned on Juno night.

They will cause a media and fan frenzy on the red carpet
There will probably be so many camera flashes going off at once that it will cause temporary blindness for the couple.

Host Michael Bublé will make a joke about them during his opening monologue
They’ve already appeared in a commercial with Bublé for the Junos, so why not show up in his opening, too?

The camera will pan to them trying to catch their reactions to the show multiple times throughout the night
We all want to know what they are thinking!

There will be a “West Side Story”-style showdown between Sum 41 (the band fronted by Lavigne’s ex-husband Deryck Whibley) and Kroeger’s band Nickelback
Last Halloween, Whibley and his girlfriend dressed up as Lavigne and Kroeger, which prompted the Nickelback frontman to fire back on Twitter: "Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha! —CK."

It’s only a matter of time before a rumble breaks out!

There will be more physical contact between the two than the time Lavigne accepted a MuchMusic Video Award award from Nickelback in 2004
Did she even acknowledge him?
