Five-year-old pianist Ryan Wang plays for a 101-year-old fan

Dorothy Landry, a 101-year-old music fan, got the chance to hear five-year-old pianist Ryan Wang perform live, thanks to CBC Music. What transpired between the two during their meeting is truly heart-warming.

“I don’t care for rock and roll and all that modern thing,” Landry says in the clip. “I guess he was about three maybe and that’s when I first met him. I’m looking forward to hearing him again. He’s a very special little person [and] I’d like to thank everyone for today. It’s been a wonderful experience … I feel very honoured.”

After giving Grandma Dorothy a hug and holding her hand, Wang's eyes filled with tears in the video and our hearts melted after watching the sweet moment.

It seems like we weren’t the only ones moved by Landry and Wang, as viewers have left comments on the clip like, “Oh my GOD .. I don't have shame to say that I'm a man and I'm in tears right now..”

Wrote another: “Bought tears to my eyes and joy to my soul. God Bless them both. WOW.”

You might remember that this Canadian piano prodigy was on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in May after he had the chance to perform at Carnegie Hall.

“I just love it, and then sometimes it goes to my fingers,” Wang told daytime show host Ellen DeGeneres about how he memorizes music. Later adding about performing in front of a large audience, “I don’t get nervous [because] I just like to play.”
