The funniest misheard song lyrics of 2012

PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” ruled the charts in 2012 and it was hard to go a single day without hearing them.

However, even though you might have heard these tunes all the time, that doesn’t mean that you understood all of the song’s lyrics correctly.

YouTube user pleatedjeans (also known as Jeff Wysaski) has gone through some of the biggest hits of 2012 and created a video that includes what listeners “think” they hear instead of a track’s actual lyrics and some of them are quite hilarious.

(CAUTION! This video contains strong language)

Check out a few of our favourite misheard lyrics from the clip below.

Last November, Cdza (or Collective Cadenza) tackled a similar feat, but instead covered 70 years of incorrectly perceived lyrics in their video “History of Misheard Lyrics | Opus No. 13” taking on tunes by artists like composer Carl Orff and Canadian pop/punk princess Avril Lavigne.
