Jimmy Kimmel proves Beliebers will let Justin Bieber get away with almost anything

During the June 27 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” host Jimmy Kimmel presented a “Justin Bieber Concert” edition of “Lie Witness News,” which saw his correspondent pull the wool over multiple Beliebers' eyes.

In the segment, the late night show host sent a camera crew to a Justin Bieber show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in order to ask fans about their opinions on fake stories about the pop star.

“We want to see how blindly [Justin's] fans follow will him,” Kimmel said. “It turns out the answer is very, very blindly.”

Kimmel's correspondent brought up several fake Justin Bieber stories, including ones about using baby seal tires on his cars, parking in handicapped parking pots, disrespecting the American flag, and being violent towards the 19-year-old singer’s grandmother. Obviously, none of these things actually happened, but his fans didn't know that -- and they supported Bieber anyway.

Asked by Kimmel’s crew about Bieber’s "new tattoo" of a cat, which featured his navel as part of the feline’s backside, the fan responded, “I love cats and I think it’s so creative [that] he used his bellybutton … I love it.”

Some of the most alarming responses came when Beliebers were questioned about whether the Canadian artist should be allowed to park his Ferrari in handicapped parking spaces.

“I think, yeah, his Ferrari’s awesome,” one fan said.

The interviewer then asked, “What if a handicapped woman was trying to pull her van into the spot but Justin Bieber was in that spot with his Ferrari?”

The Belieber replied, “I would actually make her wait because Justin Bieber’s Justin Bieber.”

A different fan answered: “Yeah, I mean, he’s Justin Bieber, he shouldn’t have to walk … Kiss the ground he walks on."

Judging by the comments on YouTube, users seem horrified by today’s youth.

“Owww oww owww my brain hurts just trying to wrap my mind around how they can be so stupid,” one viewer said. “Please please please wise up! This next generation is scary.”

Wrote another: “I'm actually a belieber but these girls are so stupid and ugh now my head hurts especially after that handy capped question, I give up in society.”

This isn’t the first time Kimmel has tricked music fans. In April, he fooled Coachella festivalgoers by asking them about bands that didn’t exist.

Bieber’s “Believe Tour” will hit in Canada next on July 23 in Ottawa at Scotiabank Place and on July 25 and 26 in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre. Head here for more information on how you can see him live.
