Justin Bieber gives 200 concert tickets to Oklahoma tornado survivors

Prior to hitting the stage at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on July 2, Justin Bieber revealed that he had a surprise for his Oklahoma City Beliebers.

On May 20, a deadly tornado devastated the city of Moore in Oklahoma. According to CBC News, the twister measured three kilometres wide and was the cause of destruction in more than 10,000 homes and killed 24 people, leaving 400 injured.

Oklahoma’s News 9 reports that multiple elementary schools were also destroyed in May, one of which being Plaza Towers Elementary.

Plaza Towers Elementary school student Kayle Edwards, who got to go to Bieber’s concert, told News 9, "I feel really happy. My house is half way gone, my room is the worst room in the house. I came [to the concert], it makes me feel a lot better."

After its posting, the Canadian singer’s tweet gained a life of its own, earning almost 60,000 retweets and prompting messages of gratitude from fans eager to say thank you to the superstar for donating tickets to worthy cause.
