The 30-year-old “American Idol” winner was joined by the U.S. Marine Band for her performance of “America (My Country 'Tis of ‘Thee),” which was previously performed by the legendary Aretha Franklin during President Obama’s 2009 Inauguration.

After her performance, the "Catch My Breath" hitmaker tweeted a cheeky comment, writing, "Wow ....I was incredibly nervous and cold ha! I just wanna officially thank President Obama for opening for me haha! Just kidding :)"

The U.S. Marine Band also accompanied Beyoncé as she tackled “The Star Spangled Banner." Beyonce appeared to be having difficulty with her earpieces during the National Anthem as she removed one before the end of the performance.

The 31-year-old "Love on Top" hitmaker has long been a supporter of President Obama as she previously performed Etta James’ “At Last” during his first dance with first lady Michelle Obama at the 2009 Inaugural Ball in addition to posting pro-Obama photos on Instagram.

This morning, Beyoncé also posted two pictures of herself rehearsing “The Star Spangled Banner” on Facebook and fans seem to be pleased with both her and Clarkson’s Inaugural celebration performances.

“Great job @kelly_clarkson on singing today at the Inauguration! So proud of and for you!!!” tweeted country singer Reba McEntire. “Okay, now back to work. I flew down to work today so I could watch @kelly_clarkson sing before I had to go to the stage! It was worth it!”

“I've always felt moved and proud hearing the Star Spangled Banner... even MORE so when @Beyonce sang it better than I've ever heard before,” a fan tweeted.
