The invisible horse-riding sequence from PSY’s viral video “Gangnam Style” seemed to be everywhere in 2012. In short, it was the dance move of the year.

1. Nelly Furtado
At her concert in Manila, Philippines, this past August, Canadian “Parking Lot” hitmaker Nelly Furtado joined the “Gangnam Style” craze with a few backup dancers who donned neon wigs.

2. Madonna
PSY actually joined Madonna on stage during her “MDNA” tour stop at Madison Square Garden in New York in November and also performed “Music” with the Material Girl.

3. Britney Spears
“X Factor” judge Britney Spears got a surprise while appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in September when DeGeneres actually brought the 34-year-old Korean pop star out to teach Spears the famous dance moves.

4. Liam Payne of One Direction
While co-hosting a BBC Radio 1 show with Gemma Cairney, One Direction boy band member Liam Payne busted out his “Gangnam Style” moves in the booth this past October.


5. The Wanted
During an MTV Video Music Awards pre-party, The Wanted were joined by PSY for a special (and hilarious) “Gangnam Style” performance.
