Neverest’s whirlwind Juno Awards weekend

Over the Juno Awards weekend, Yahoo! Canada Music caught up with Neverest, the talented pop-rock band from Toronto, Ont., and discussed which Juno Award has their eye and what they put into their swag bags during their visit to the Juno Celebrity Lounge.

"This is [the] first year at the Junos where we are more well known," Neverest's lead guitarist, Mike Klose, said. "You hope that one day you'll get nominated for a Juno Award and it's something that we're striving for, but it's just great to be here and be amongst this company because these are all people that we look up to."

When asked what award the band would most like to be nominated for in the future, drummer Brendan Colameco had the answer, "Artist of the Year would be unbelievable or even Album of the Year," he said. "It would be incredible to be recognized for something that you've created."

When they weren't signing autographs and hanging out with fans during Juno Fan Fare, Neverest got the chance to visit the Juno Celebrity Lounge at ARC The Hotel and enjoyed filling their swag bags with lots of different products and interesting goodies.

"We got socks, mud, t-shirts, and vibrators, you know, the typical stuff," bassist Paul Loduca said with a laugh. "[The vibrator] has like, nine settings and when [the representative] put it into my hand, it shot out of my palm."

The We-Vibe, a sex toy that was invented and patented in the 2012 Juno Awards host city of Ottawa, and was quite the "buzz" over the Juno weekend for its risqué nature and presence in the Celebrity Lounge.

Neverest plans on hitting the road with boy band super group, NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block Backstreet Boys), when they begin their European tour in Germany this May.
