One direction fans go nuts as ‘Best Song Ever’ gets leaked online

Aaaaaaagggggghhhhhhhhh One Direction! Aaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhh!

...Sorry about that. But like the army full of Directioners who worked themselves into a frenzy on Twitter earlier on Thursday, we just can’t keep our excitement to ourselves.

Of course, One Direction fans typically don’t need an invitation to get hysterical. But this time around, at least, they had something of an excuse: the first full version of the Brit boy band’s upcoming single was leaked online. Most of it has been scrubbed from the Internet (for now), but clearly not quickly enough.

The knowingly titled “Best Song Ever” isn’t officially released until Monday when the boys will debut the song alongside its hilarious looking video on their YouTube page, but some cheeky rascal managed to get a hold of a copy and leaked it online. No sooner had the song gone up than the file was taken back down, though not before thousands of fans got to find out if the song lived up to its name. And, judging by their reactions, they think it does with fans calling it “perfect,” “the best song ever” and one even going so far as to say that “this is my soul.”

To help you share in their excitement, here are some of our favourite fan reactions to One Direction’s new song:
