Sometimes, fame and celebrity can't win you everything.

Check out these fantastic artists that have never won a Grammy even though they are amongst the most popular (and talented) of all time.

1. Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix is the epitome of what an artist should be: he changed the game, played by his own rules and his talent never faltered. It is unbelievable and saddening to realize that his genius and talent was never recognized with a Grammy award. However, in 1992, Hendrix was posthumously awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

2. ABBA
As one of the most commercially successful bands to come out of Sweden, ABBA has sold more than 200 million albums and their song "Dancing Queen" spent 22 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977. During ABBA's heyday, artists like Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Wonder and Chicago were cleaning up at the Grammy Awards.

3. Journey
Contestants love to cover Journey on popular singing competition reality shows like "American Idol," "The Voice" and "X Factor," but it would shock you to learn that they have never won a Grammy. In 1982, they provided a partial soundtrack to the feature film version of "Tron" and were never nominated. This year, Daft Punk has been nominated in the "Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media" for their work in the 2010 sequel, "Tron: Legacy."

4. Spice Girls
How can you go wrong with girl power? As one of the most notable girl groups of all time, it is surprising that the Spice Girls have never won a Grammy. During their prime (1996-2000), artists like Babyface, Celine Dion and Jamiroquai were sweeping award shows and making way for the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

"Wannabe"

5. Backstreet Boys
They have been "getting down and moving it all around" since 1993 and never won a Grammy. The boy band has been through it all and even after losing Kevin, has still remained popular with the fans. During the 42nd annual Grammy Awards, the Backstreet Boys were nominated in four categories against Santana and lost to him every time.

"I Want It That Way"

Other legendary artists that have never been presented with a Grammy include Led Zeppelin, Queen, Bob Marley, The Beach Boys and Janis Joplin. However, they have all been given Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards or been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. This year, Diana Ross is finally set to receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award of her own along with the Allman Brothers Band, Glen Campbell, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Jones, Gil Scott-Heron and the Memphis Horns.
