Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fun. Pay Tribute to MCA of Beastie Boys
The death of Adam Yauch, also known as MCA of the Beastie Boys, inspired awesome tributes from bands around the world. Yauch was 47 and had been battling cancer for years. The tributes were in the spirit of MCA -- fun and raucous.
First, Coldplay performs "You Gotta Fight for Your Right (to Party)." Singer Chris Martin tickles the ivories and does a slow and mellow version of the party anthem. Sounds like a disaster, but Martin pulls it off. Special props for his ever-so-polite delivery of the line "Mom, you're just jealous -- it's the Beastie Boys."

Next up, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bring down the house with "So What'cha Want" from the Beastie Boys' 1992 album, "Check Your Head." The Peppers and lead singer Anthony Kiedis bring their own California style to the performance. "We lost a good man today," Kiedis said to the audience. "He left the world a lot of beauty. I hope you carry that flame. Adam was for real."

Finally, there's Fun. Probably best known for the hit tune "We Are Young," Fun rocked its own interpretation of fan favorite "Sabotage" at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Watch out for adult language and forgotten lyrics...
