First off, Jepsen is nominated in the Breakout Artist category against acts like English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, Belgian-Australian artist Gotye of "Somebody That I Use To Know" fame, New Zealand's Kimbra and "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips.

Should she take home the prize, and being the only Canadian in the bunch, Jepsen will join the club of past winners including artists like Bruno Mars, Akon, and her mentor, Justin Bieber.

In addition to her nomination for Breakout Artist, Jepsen is also up for Choice Summer Music Star: Female and her track, "Call Me Maybe," will be pitted against Justin Bieber's "All Around The World" for Choice Summer Song, amongst the other nominees.

Secondly, Jepsen will join already announced performers like No Doubt, Jordin Sparks, DJ Pauly D and Flo Rida at the teen awards show where she will deliver a special rendition of "Call Me Maybe" featuring the fans.

Teens are invited to follow in the footsteps of artists like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and Katy Perry, who've created unofficial lip-synched viral videos to Jepsen's infectious pop track, in hopes of having their clip featured during her performance.

"It's been a dream of mine to attend the Teen Choice Awards for years," the 26-year-old said in a press release. "To perform and be nominated is such an honour. I'm looking forward to sharing this amazing night with the fans and friends who got me there!"
