Grandmother dances to Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna”

Can any of your older relatives do this?

In a clip that was "recorded in grandma's kitchen using grandma's bathtub chair," we see an older woman dancing up a storm to Usher's 1997 hit "You Make Me Wanna" and making us all wish that she was our Aunt Carol.

Grossing almost 1.6 million views and countless copycat videos, YouTube user JimmyButtable's "Aunt Carol Usher" clip is enough to brighten your day and motivate you to learn the hip-hop dance routine yourself.

Earlier this year, the video even landed Aunt Carol a spot on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" where she talked about her dance training and how she grew to love hip-hop.

"I took dancing lessons from second grade to eighth grade," Aunt Carol told DeGeneres during the broadcast. "I took tap, acrobat, jazz and ballet, but I don't think that there was any hip-hop at the time."

She also said, "When I went to high school I didn't [take dance] and in college I took one class called eurhythmics, which is moving to music and I was in the music program, and part of that was doing folk dancing, which I really loved. After that, I didn't do it again for 40 years."

Explaining her initial reaction to hip-hop, the California resident said, "When I first started to see hip-hop I didn't like it because it looked angry and everybody who did it looked angry and it really turned me off."

But, her attitude changed. "One day I saw it and it looked really beautiful and I thought that if I could move that way that it would be so wonderful so that's what I did."

When asked who her favourite hip-hop dancer was, Aunt Carol replied, "I remember seeing tWitch on 'So You Think You Can Dance,' he's wonderful," and as a surprise, DeGeneres brought out tWitch to perform Usher's "You Make Me Wanna" dance together with the YouTube sensation.
