“History of Wooing Women” encompasses decades worth of sultry songs

From the group that brought you such viral videos as the "History of Whistling" and the "History of Lyrics That Aren't Lyrics" comes a new lesson in the progression of pursuing women through music in the "History of Wooing Women" by Cdza.

Sampling tunes from the 1950s to 2010, Cdza (or Collective Cadenza) highlights songs from artists like Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Boyz II Men, Nine Inch Nails and Ludacris showing how lyrics about seducing that special someone have changed over the years.

Among the more contemporary tracks highlighted in the clip are songs like Juvenile's "Back That Azz Up," Tenacious D's "F-ck Her Gently," Eminem's "Shake That" featuring Nate Dogg, Akon's "I Wanna Love You," Buckcherry's "Crazy B-tch" and Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight."

Garnering over 100,000 hits in just a few days, viewers have really taken to the clip and experienced a few revelations while watching it, leaving comments like, "The music got better, but the lyrics took a huge dive," and "Wow... Things have really gone downhill when it comes to wooing."

They've even begun to argue over at what point the music started to change, leaving notes like, "It all goes downhill from 1994...," to which other viewers have responded, writing, "Are you saying Boyz II Men killed music?"

Do you agree that lyrics about wooing women have gone "downhill" since the mid-1990s? Leave us a comment below!
