Justin Bieber nominated for Worst Band at NME Awards

It seems like Justin Bieber can’t catch a break.

The 18-year-old singer has once again been nominated in one of the Worst categories at this year’s NME Awards.

Supports: Justin and Carly Rae Jepsen get the most Juno Award nominations

In 2012, the Canadian boy wonder won both Worst Album for his Juno Award-nominated record “Under The Mistletoe” as well as Villain Of The Year. This time around, he has picked up a nomination for Worst Band.

Bieber will face off against artists like One Direction, Muse, Mumford & Sons, Alt-J and Ed Sheeran for the title. Some fans are not pleased with the “Beauty and a Beat” hitmaker’s inclusion while others are finding it hard to decide.

“You can vote for Dave Grohl as Hero of the year. I suggest you do it, now,” one anti-Belieber tweeted. “And you can vote One Direction/Justin Bieber as Worst Band. Why the hell wouldn't you? #toughchoicethough.”

Wrote another: “NME has put One Direction, Justin Bieber and ED Sheeran in the category Worst Band…Here are a bunch of reasons why NME don't know music or people!... 3) NME DONT KNOW BLOODY TALENT… 10) Justin bieber has talent. 11) Justin Bieber has sold out MSG in a SHORT about of time. 12) Justin Bieber is sooo sweet… 14) Imagine how Justin feels.”

However, since the “Believe” album artist now has more Twitter followers than the population of Canada, maybe he can convince them to vote for the other contenders this year.

The NME Awards will stream live on Wednesday, Feb. 27. To check them out, head here.
