Justin Bieber’s Vancouver fans upset over missing tour stop

Ask and you shall receive.

This past Wednesday, Justin Bieber announced his upcoming "Believe Tour" with Canadian stops in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.

However, when Vancouver Bieber fans saw that their city was not featured on the list, chaos erupted in the Twitterverse.

The National Post reports that fans of the Canadian heartthrob called "Beliebers" began to express their concern for the Vancouver absence by using the hash tag "#vancouverwantsBELIEVETOUR." They also argued that Bieber should hit up the city because his opening act, Carly Rae Jepsen, hails from British Columbia.

Tweeting statements like, "B-tches in Vancouver had a riot when the Canucks lost, what makes you think they won't if Justin doesn't come here?" And, "Carly is freaking from Vancouver. Justin has to have a concert here. Scooter needs to plan this sh-t ASAP." The Beliebers' messages have been trending on Twitter in various parts of Canada since the announcement.

In an effort to soothe the tension, Bieber's manager Scooter Braun tweeted to his almost 1.6 million followers, "U really think we would put @carlyraejepsen on the tour and not hit Vancouver?? Sit tight :)," reassuring them that a Vancouver date may still be in the works.

Jepsen, the songstress behind the hit "Call Me Maybe" and Bieber's protégé who was born in Mission, B.C., is only one of the "Believe Tour's" opening acts. The second artist is being kept a secret by Braun who wrote, "The @JustinBieber #BELIEVEtour is coming with @carlyraejepsen and ??? :) #BiggestPOPtourOfTheYear."

Rumour has it that UK boy band The Wanted are up for the slot, especially after Bieber tweeted, "Shout out to my boys @thewantedmusic who are going for #1 in the UK with chasing the sun. good luck. see u soon? Ha." In addition to The Wanted's Tom Parker telling MTV UK, "We're trying to make it happen so hopefully we'll be able to join him. The guy's a little legend."
