Simple Plan band members and others react to fan’s death at Vans Warped Tour

Following a fan's tragic death on Sunday at the Vans Warped Tour's Toronto stop, bands such as Simple Plan, All Time Low and Paramore have expressed their condolences for the fallen fan, Taylor Nesseth.

Although her name hasn't been officially released, her identity has become known through social media and her story has touched many.

A 19-year-old from London, Ont., Nesseth attended the outdoor concert at The Flats at Molson Canadian Amphitheater on July 15, 2012, and was found lying in the grass not breathing after collapsing at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

After receiving CPR from paramedics on the scene, she was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead with cause of death still unknown.

Taking to Twitter, Simple Plan's lead singer Pierre Bouvier and drummer Chuck Comeau commented on the event and offered their support.

"Just heard about Taylor passing away," Bouvier wrote. "Thoughts+prayers for her family and friends. A friend of warped tour is a friend of ours ‪#RIPTaylor"

"So sad and tragic," Comeau tweeted. "My condolences to Taylor's family. Cherish life and enjoy every moment. ‪#GoneTooSoon ‪#RIPTaylor"

Frequent Warped Tour performer Paramore's Hayley Williams also sent her condolences in the form of a tweet, writing, "My heart and prayers go out to family and friends of the young girl, Taylor, who passed away at Warped Tour today. ‪#restinpeace"

Featured on the tour this year, Baltimore band All Time Low's singer Alex Gaskarth also gave a shout out to Nesseth on Twitter, writing, "Taylor: A comrade, a friend, a hustler, an enthusiast, a dreamer, a sweetheart-- I didn't know her well, but I'm hit hard by her passing."

An official statement released by the Vans Warped Tour was issued earlier today and, in part, reads, "The Vans Warped Tour family is saddened by the death of a patron attending Toronto's concert at The Flats at Molson Canadian Amphitheater on July 15, 2012…Out of respect for the family, we have not released the name of the patron...Our deepest condolences are with the patron's family and friends."

Before she arrived at the concert, Nesseth's last tweet read, "Have to be up in 10 minutes…oh well. Warped tour today! I'd say I'm excited, but that's not enough."
