Will Carly Rae Jepsen come out on top at the 2013 Juno Awards?

Mission, B.C., singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen has earned the most Juno Award nominations this year, with mentions in five categories like Juno Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year.

The 27-year-old former “Canadian Idol” contestant will go up against some stiff competition in each of these major categories, and unfortunately for her, we think that Jepsen has the chance of walking away with less than half of the awards she’s nominated for.

Jepsen will most likely lose the Juno Fan Choice Award to her mentor Justin Bieber. Let's face it: her fan base is no match for the more than 37.6 million Beliebers that follow the teen heartthrob on Twitter alone.

She will probably also lose out to Bieber for Album of the Year, as the category is based on sales and “Believe” ranked at No. 6 on the list of best-selling albums of 2012 and was the only Canadian record to place in the Top 10.

Artist of the Year also seems like a long shot for the Jepsen, as she is named in the category with the likes of Leonard Cohen, who released his album “Old Ideas” last year and achieved platinum status in Canada. Cohen also received the Glenn Gould Prize in 2012, which is “awarded to an individual for a unique lifetime contribution that has enriched the human condition through the arts." He's a true Canadian icon who deserves to be recognized for his achievements.

We think that Jepsen has the best chance triumphing in the category of Single of the Year with her track “Call Me Maybe.” According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), "Call Me Maybe" was the top-selling single of 2012.

She also has a good shot at winning Pop Album of the Year with her record “Kiss,” since category is voted on by judges and members of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in addition to sales.

However, even if she doesn’t take the Juno stage to accept an award, we will still get to see Jepsen sing during the show, as she is scheduled to perform.
