Len celebrates Toronto with new music video for “It’s My Neighbourhood”

Canadian musical group Len have returned with a new track titled "It's My Neighbourhood" from their latest album, "It's Easy If You Try." The musicians have even created a music video to go along with the new single, and it features plenty of footage of their home town of Toronto, Ont.

As Torontoist points out, the clip is full of material from the City of Toronto's B-roll footage, but it's still nice to see a band pay homage to their roots, highlighting hotspots like the CN Tower and the Beaches, while also featuring multi-cultural communities and fans.

The alternative pop/hip-hop group, including brother-sister duo Marc and Sharon Costanzo, hit it big in 1999 with their album "You Can't Stop The Bum Rush," which housed one of the most memorable tracks of 1999, "Steal My Sunshine."

After the album experienced success in both Canada and the U.S., the band was nominated for Juno Awards in the categories of Best New Group and Best Alternative Album.

North of the border, "Bum Rush" was certified gold in 1999, and in the U.S. spent 27 weeks on Billboard's 200 album chart -- it even managed to peak at No. 46, thanks to the popularity push of their single "Sunshine," which went to No. 3 on the Pop Songs chart and No. 9 on the Hot 100.

Since then, the band has released records like 2002's "We Be Who We Be" and 2005's "The Diary of the Madmen." However, in 2008, Marc issued a MySpace message, announcing the parting of ways with select band members.

"Soooo.... after all this time and alll the thousands emails askin....it looks like were not gonna make another len record," Marc wrote. "Just couldn't get it ( and everyone ) together . There may be still one hope but i'll know at the end of this week. On a brighter note....Me and Sharon will be making our own record and will keep you updated on a page we will make soon! So i'm still f-ckin excited and if me and sha start this...it should be done in months, not years! hahaha...."

Fast forward to 2012, and the Costanzos are back with "It's Easy If You Try," and the pair wrote on their Facebook page that they are here to stay.

"Len is still here and it's not going anywhere," the band wrote. "We're family so we can take it wherever we want. We're the core and we're gonna do this forever whether people listen or not. We've made a lot of music over the past few [years] that's waiting to be heard because we just love what we do."
