Taylor Swift lands her first Hot 100 No.1 and beats Ke$ha in the process

It's official: Taylor Swift has finally scored her first number one single on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her newest break-up anthem, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Upon "Never's" release, the 22-year-old crushed Lady Gaga's record for fastest selling single on iTunes and now has additionally broken Ke$ha's record for having the most successful digital sales week for a female artist.

Back in 2010, Ke$ha's "TiK ToK" sold 610,000 copies the week of January 9, whereas Swift's "Never" sold a reported 623,000 copies during its debut coming only second to Flo Rida's "Right Round," which sold 636,000 copies the week of February 28, 2009.

It's amazing to think that this is the first time Swift has made it to the top spot on the Hot 100 with hits like "You Belong With Me" and "Today Was a Fairytale" coming close at number two and "Mine" and "Love Story" reaching third and fourth positions, respectively.

Up next for Swift, aside from partying with a Kennedy, will be her performance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards next month.
